I am looking for a good Neurologist in the Princeton, NJ area for my Father. He has NPH and had a shunt placed about 2 years ago at Johns Hopkins. As he lives in the Princeton area he needs a closer doctor. He's not doing very well so I need someone very soon. Thanks so much! Jenn

My husband has hydrocephalus and isn't doing well. We are dealing with the Veterans Administration for his medical care. His shunt placement operation wasn't performed in a VA hospital. (Emergency surgery in a neighboring medical hospital after removal of a colloid cyst) We have to use the VA medical facilities as we have no insurance. The VA neurologist is reluctant to deal with us. Any suggestions?

I lost my son Michael on 6-10-10 do to a shunt malfuntion during pre-surgery.He was 15 and still had the shunt that was put in at 3 days old. He had headachs in Feb.we had a CT.and the Dr. said no problems. They said his body had stoped absorbing the fluid coming from the drain. His pressure was double what it should have been he had sever brain damage. We lost his Mom in 2003 and I miss them both.
